My
Story
Kris is a Vancouver-based actor, filmmaker, and writer with a passion for storytelling that challenges, inspires, and sparks meaningful conversations. Having worn many hats—including writer, director, and producer—Kris, drawing from her Master’s in Public Health and Psychology, along with extensive experience in public health and social advocacy, brings a deep commitment to exploring complex themes such as mental health, social determinants of health, power dynamics, and women’s stories.
Her short films have garnered recognition, with Homeless winning in the short film category at the Global Accolade Film Festival and Interview with the Broken receiving a special mention at the One Reeler Short Film Festival. Through film and writing, Kris seeks to illuminate underrepresented voices and create narratives that resonate on a personal and societal level.

Kris’ acting journey began on stage, where she took on diverse musical theatre roles such as Audrey II (Little Shop of Horrors), Queen Aggravain (Once Upon a Mattress), and the Wife of Bath (The Canterbury Tales). She has also acted in productions of Hair, the Musical, Ragtime, the Musical, and as Sherelle in Trey Anthony’s Da Kink in My Hair. Transitioning into film, television, and commercials, Kris has appeared in Peacemaker, A Million Little Things, and Gabby Duran and the Unsittables.
With a passion for both performance and storytelling, Kris is dedicated to using film and writing as powerful tools to explore pressing social issues, amplify marginalized voices, and create work that leaves a lasting impact.
